Megan’s Wednesday & Final Blog from RUINED Homeless Work Camp
This week was amazing!! All the things we got to do and HAD to do were, in the end, all for something bigger than us – Jesus. Clearing the trees on Mrs. Russel’s land was a good experience for me, I think. Usually, when I get tired of something (for example, a game in gym class) I just quit. But out at Mrs. Russel’s we all had to practice patience and not giving up. Lastly, I learned that there are homeless people all around us. They could literally be homeless, or just be group-less (meaning that they don’t belong with any group). So, knowing their position/situation, we need to love them with the love of Christ b/c you could be the only “Jesus” they see.
Suggestions for Spring Ruined
1) I would buy chips and salsa or crackers and salsa instead of cereal and peanut butter
2) Bill should surprise the students by taking to a restaurant again.
